The Taste Seeker – 10 vini per le feste (sotto i €20)
L’anno scorso mi sono divertito a scrivere un articolo in cui consigliavo 10 vini dolci per il periodo natalizio. Bene, quest’anno mi sono detto: perché limitarsi solo ai vini dolci?
D’altronde l’Italia comprende 20 regioni diverse con tradizioni diverse, prodotti diverse, cucine diverse, ma tutte accomunate dalla bellezza della condivisione a tavola – sia essa a casa o fuori, sperando che non venga rovinato anche questo Natale dalle “disposizioni dall’alto”.
Questa volta, al posto di 10 vini dolci, ho deciso di consigliare 10 vini suddivisi in 5 categorie: due vini spumanti/frizzanti, due vini bianchi, due vini rosati, due vini rossi (tutti secchi questi 8 vini) e due vini bianchi dolci. Sono 10 vini provenienti da 10 regioni italiane diverse e nessuno raggiunge la spesa di €20 per bottiglia. D’altronde è facile consigliare un Barolo, un Amarone della Valpolicella o un Trebbiano di Valentini. A volte bisogna anche ricordarsi che non è solo una questione di prezzo. Infine, sono riuscito a trovare tutti questi vini in un’unica piattaforma, in modo tale che qualora decideste di fidarmi della mia parola, potrete trovarmi il tutto in un unico luogo: Callmewine.

VINI SPUMANTI/FRIZZANTI
TRENTINO ALTO ADIGE – SPUMANTE BRUT 2017 di ENDRIZZI (TRENTO DOC)
Quando si parla di bollicine, in particolare del Metodo Classico, si tende spesso a pensare subito ed immediatamente agli Champagne. Per carità: hanno il loro fascino; gustativamente e prestigiosamente parlando, è un’altra categoria. Ma guai a trascurare le bolle nostrane. Io in particolare sono affezionato alla DOC di Trento. Ancora non mi è capitato di provare uno spumante trentino che mi abbia deluso. Qualche anno fa, presso la delegazione “Castelli Romani” dell’Associazione Italiana Sommelier, ci fu un seminario dedicato alla linea di spumanti della cantina Endrizzi, straordinaria cantina situata a San Michele all’Adige in provincia di Trento. La serata fu condotta insieme a Daniele e Lisa Maria e fu spettacolare: scoprii una cantina attenta a ciò che imbottiglia, come il loro Brut millesimato, composto da uve Chardonnay e maturato sui lieviti in bottiglia di oltre 24 mesi. Uno spumante semplice ma che esegue egregiamente il suo compito. Un perfetto vino da considerare per il “cin cin” del 31 dicembre, a patto che non si accosti a pandori e panettoni!

EMILIA ROMAGNA – “CAMPEDELLO” di CROCI (COLLI PIACENTINI DOC)
Rimaniamo sull’effervescenza, ma questa volta con una bollicina emiliana frizzante. Si tratta di un vino dell’azienda Croci vinificato sulle bucce e rifermentato spontaneamente in bottiglia, composto da un curiosissimo blend di vitigni: Malvasia di Candia come parte principale (60%), un terzo composto da Ortrugo e Trebbiano (35%), ed il restante 5% fatto da Sauvignon Blanc e Marsanne. Ne esce fuori un vino molto fragrante, con forti sentori di erbe aromatiche e di agrumi, dal gusto “vivace” e dalla beva pericolosamente facile; pare quasi di bere una limonata. Se cercate un vino adatto all’aperitivo, non andate oltre.

VINI BIANCHI
VERMENTINO “ETICHETTA NERA” 2020 di LUNAE BOSONI (COLLI DI LUNI DOC)
Il Vermentino è un’uva straordinaria che esprime il meglio di sé soprattutto sul litorale tirrenico, dalla Toscana al Lazio, passando per la Sardegna – grande produttrice di questo nobile vitigno a bacca bianca. Ma non dobbiamo dimenticarci della Liguria, ed anzi: dato che quest’anno l’ho visitata per la prima volta, mi pareva doveroso includerla in questa classifica. Questo in particolare è l’Etichetta Nera di Lunae Bosoni, nei Colli di Luni (a pochi passi da La Spezia ed il confine con la Toscana), vinificato ed affinato in vasche d’acciaio, capace di esprimere una bellissima fragranza – in particolare di frutta e fiori. A mio parere, una frittura di pesce per questo vino rappresenterebbe il matrimonio perfetto.

PETITE ARVINE 2020 di LES CRETES (VALLE D’AOSTA DOC)
La Valle d’Aosta non è solo montagna, Fontina e fonduta. Il patrimonio vitivinicolo di questa minuscola regione è ancora poco conosciuto al grande pubblico ma si possono trovare prodotti eccezionali per ogni tipologia di vino. Per quelli bianchi, mi sento di condividere questo Petite Arvine della cantina “Les Cretes“, prodotto con l’omonima uva che ancora oggi viene contesa – a livello di origine – dalla regione e dalla vicina Svizzera. Sta di fatto che parliamo di un vitigno autoctono valdostano, corredato da dei gradevolissimi sentori di agrumi e frutta esotica, dalle durezze spiccate ma non aggressive – sapidità e freschezza davvero impeccabili. Anche qui, se cerchiamo qualcosa di godereccio da accompagnare a del buon pesce, stiamo sulla strada giusta.

VINI ROSATI
ROSATO 2020 di MARISA CUOMO (COSTA D’AMALFI DOC)
Se c’è una cantina per la quale provo molto affetto, quella è “Marisa Cuomo“. Qualche anno, insieme ai miei amici e colleghi di corso per diventare sommelier, partimmo alla volta di Ravello per visitare quella che è considerata una delle migliori cantine del sud Italia – e produttrice di uno dei bianchi più apprezzati d’Italia, il “Fiorduva“. Il suo rosato è un trionfo d’estate: vinificato con due uve “robuste” come il Piedirosso e l’Aglianico in percentuali uguali, questo vino sprizza al naso incredibili sentori di frutta rossa: fragole, ciliegia, ribes, lampone, ma anche macchia mediterranea e una lieve nota agrumata. Gustativamente è ricco, di corpo, con una leggiadra trama tannica, per niente fastidiosa. Onestamente, lo considero un perfetto compagno di viaggio per zuppe di pesce, primi di mare o anche qualche pesce azzurro. Ma secondo me si presterebbe alla grande con un classico ed intramontabile spaghetto al pomodoro.

CIRÒ ROSATO “SEGNO” 2020 di LIBRANDI (CIRÒ DOC)
Povera Calabria… se è vero che gastronomicamente parlando è considerata casa di molte eccellenze, non si può dire certo lo stesso quando si parla di vino. Vero, forse non ha un patrimonio vitivinicolo ricco e variegato come regioni quali la Lombardia, il Veneto e altre simili, ma anche qui si possono scovare grandi prelibatezze. Una di queste è il Cirò, vinificato sia rosso (come da tradizione) che rosato. Ho scelto di consigliare proprio questa variante, composta da Gaglioppo al 100% e prodotta dalla cantina Librandi a Cirò Marina, in provincia di Crotone. Con un prezzo inferiore ai €7, questo rosato si presenta egregiamente sia per dei crudi di pesce che per primi ittici, ma anche per formaggi freschi.

VINI ROSSI
“PEPATO” 2018 di FONTEZOPPA (SERRAPETRONA DOC)
Obiettivamente, anche le Marche vengono considerate poco quando si ricerca qualcosa di speciale da bere, il che è un grave errore. Ci sono molte uve che si dimostrano estremamente versatili nella realizzazioni di prodotti diversi ma sempre con un’alta qualità; una di queste è la Vernaccia Nera, un’uva capace di regalare grandi vini rossi fermi e spumanti, sia secchi che dolci. In questo caso ho optato per uno fermo e secco, precisamente il “Pepato” di Fontezoppa – una cantina dalla quale finora ho assaggiato solo prodotti eccellenti. Già il nome la dice lunga sul profilo aromatico e gustativo che dovremmo aspettarci: spezie come se non ci fosse un domani, in particolare il pepe, ma anche frutta rossa matura. In bocca, nonostante la giovane età (3 anni), non presenta una tannicità aggressiva ed anzi, risulta essere delicatamente minerale e fresco. Un rosso davvero sorprendente per arrosti, carne alla piastra ma anche – per i veri goderecci – formaggi stagionati.

TINTILIA 2018 di DI MAJO NORANTE (TINTILIA DEL MOLISE DOC)
Ci tenevo ad includere in questa lista un vino molisano e, come molti sapranno, il migliore alfiere del Molise è senza ombra di dubbio il Tintilia del Molise DOC, vino rosso robusto prodotto con l’uva che prende lo stesso nome. Per l’occasione ho scelto il vino di uno dei principali produttori molisani, ovvero Di Majo Norante, in provincia di Campobasso. Colore rosso rubino intenso, anche probabilmente dovuto alla macerazione a contatto con le bucce per 30 giorni. Dopo 8 mesi di affinamento in botte, ne fa ulteriori 6 in bottiglia, producendo così un prodotto strutturato e abbastanza complesso anche in giovane età. Al naso è un tripudio di sottobosco, frutta rossa, liquirizia ed anche una piacevole nota di cuoio, mentre al palato risulta di corpo, “vellutato” ed equilibrato, perfetto a mio parere per accompagnare della selvaggina. P.S.: non l’ho incluso nell’articolo dello scorso anno dedicato ai vini dolci, ma dato che parliamo dello stesso produttore, consiglio vivamente il Moscato di Di Majo Norante: una vera leccornia per il fine pasto!

VINI DOLCI
“LA GALESIA” 2020 di LA CAUDRINA (MOSCATO D’ASTI DOCG)
Mettiamola così. Considero il Moscato d’Asti uno di quei vini che andrebbe tenuto nella propria cantina tutto l’anno, pronto per ogni evenienza. Nel periodo di Natale e Capodanno, invece, dovrebbe essere obbligatorio averlo a portata di mano! D’altronde, è considerato il vino perfetto per pandori e – soprattutto – panettoni. Non c’è infatti sbaglio peggiore in termini di abbinamento di accostare una bollicina secca ad un dolce. Questo che consiglio è prodotto da “La Caudrina“, cantina fondata nel 1970 a Castiglione Tinella, in provincia di Cuneo. Titolo alcolometrico del 5,5%: praticamente un succo di frutta un po’ forte 🙂 A €12, un vino del genere è un affare.

“DICIASSETTE UNDICI” 2019 di DE SANCTIS (CANNELLINO DI FRASCATI DOCG)
Potevo non inserire un vino laziale in questa classifica? Mi dispiace ma non potevo… Nel Lazio ci sono diverse aziende che producono vini dolci, ma alla fine la principale denominazione di questa categoria è il Cannellino di Frascati DOCG, prodotto principalmente con Malvasia del Lazio (90%), Trebbiano e Greco – entrambi al 5%. Questo creato a Frascati da Luigi De Sanctis, vignaiolo d’altri tempi ed uno di quei professionisti che ti fanno amare il mondo del vino, si chiama “Diciassette Undici” ed è uno di quei vini che si presta semplicemente alla perfezione per quella corrente dolciaria tanto cara a noi italiani: la pasticceria secca.
